Our 4 C’s Learning Framework

To provide guidance and clarity to learners across all of our programs, we have adopted the 4 C’s of Learning. The 4 C’s have been inspired by Jean Cote and Wade Gilbert’s research into effective sports coaching where they found coaches play a role in influencing their players Competence, Confidence, Character and Connection – The 4 C’s.

We have adopted these same principles and applied them in all of our courses. We believe that the 4 C’s transition smoothly across all of the learning we design and ultimately we want learners walking away with their Competence, Confidence, Character and Connection enhanced – regardless of the course they have engaged with.

Our 4Cs framework encourages leadership and personal development through Competence, Confidence, Character and Connectedness.

Effective leaders demonstrate the skill and behaviours, which allow them to perform their role successfully and influence positive change, on and off the field of play.

Effective leaders display confidence in their own knowledge and abilities and are able to instil confidence in other to meet their potential.

Effective leaders have a deep understanding of themselves, they are intrinsically motivated by their desire to help others, show integrity and demonstrate the attitude and actions associated with good sportsmanship.

Effective leaders have the ability to create and foster positive relationships with teammates, coaches, support staff and club volunteers by demonstrating an awareness of self, team and club values while inspiring others to achieve positive outcomes.
