Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Leaders of Evolution to map out the future of education

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Australian EdTech firm Leaders of Evolution to provide educators insights in how they can harness the online education revolution

The starting point for this initiative will feature a webinar available nationally at 4pm (AEDT) Thursday 4th March, that will conduct a deep-dive into how EdTech and cloud-based learning can amplify the global career skills needed for the 2030 workforce and how best to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the decade ahead.

LoE Cofounder Damian Hecker will be leading a fire-side conversation featuring AWS Head of Education – ANZ, Don Carlson, Assistant Principal Mildura Senior College, Ben Milsom and Su Reddy Deputy Teacher at the Ark Greenwich Free School, London United Kingdom. The make-up of the panel is designed to provide a clear linkage between the transformative impact of technology and the challenges facing educators and school leaders in harnessing these tools positively.

For Damian Hecker, whose passion lies in the development and implementation of effective digital pedagogy through impactful and integrated e-learning, this panel represents a starting point in his aim to empower educators to amplify the life-skills of students through EdTech.

“COVID-19 has acted as an accelerant for e-learning and the focus is now on how we can best utilise these tools to make online learning more engaging and meaningful, for educators and students alike on a global level,”

Damian Hecker, Leaders of Evolution Cofounder

“In 2020, LoE was one of the only Australian firms to be accepted into the AWS EdTech Accelerator and one of our first conversations with the team there was how we could collaborate together to make a positive impact at scale – this webinar represents the starting point of this partnership. To work with someone of the calibre of Don Carlson who is not just a tech sector leader but an educator himself, on a project like this highlights the impact our program is having on conversations around the future of education – not just in Australia but around the world.”
