How Do Our Courses Work?
You may be wondering: how do we ensure that our courses align with the evolution of education in Australia? In order to make the transition to online learning as seamless as possible for our valued clients, we’ve created five simple steps to implement our learning program.
Step 1: Choose Your Course
Select either the Foundation (Year 5) or Advanced (Year 6) course and utilise our “Online Teacher Introduction” Course hearing advice from experienced teachers and the Leaders of Evolution team. The step-by-step guide prepares teachers to deliver an engaging experience and a smooth transition for the launch of the course. Teachers will receive a Certificate of Completion and recognise 1 hour of Professional Learning.
Step 2: Plan & Prepare
A “Customer Success Toolkit” has been designed to support the successful implementation of your Young Leaders in Schools e-Learning Course, providing handy tips, curriculum breakdown and a 12-month delivery timeline. A simple Goal Setting & Self-reflection framework will also equip you in achieving schools strategic priorities and promoting the application of student leadership.
Step 3: Implement
We design our courses in a way that challenges students to apply learning into authentic, real-world contexts, which inspires tangible growth in performance. The e-Learning Hub will empower you with readily available resources, such as teacher lesson plans, assessment matrix and learning tools all designed to enhance students across the 4 C’s – Competence, Confidence, Character and Connectedness.
Step 4: Validate
We won’t leave you hanging! Our termly check-in and supporting tools ensure your school stays on track and maximises their student leadership goals. Simple and effective online reports also help you track and measure the progress of students.
Step 5: Reward & Recognise
Celebrating success is an important leadership practise! Our team is committed to rewarding both students and schools by presenting all students who complete the course with a personalised 4 C’s Certified Certificate. Schools will also have the opportunity to be recognised as a State and National finalist and winner of our Leadership School of the Year Award.
The Timelessness of Our 4 C’s Learning Curriculum
Leaders of Evolution understand the ongoing nature of the evolution of education in Australia. That’s why we urge schools to implement courses that follow a social emotional curriculum, as it provides students with long-term life skills. We strongly believe that our 4 C’s Learning Curriculum allows students to feel self-assured in their newfound emotional knowledge and its ability to help them well into the future and in whatever workforce they choose.
Competence: We define competence as relating to the skills the learner is developing whether they be technical (what) or tactical (how). Students will be made aware that these skills are intrinsically linked to their performance outcomes. They will be able to recognise what needs to be done to complete a task successfully and efficiently.
Confidence: Leaders of Evolution defines confidence as the development of positive self-worth and recognition that the learner can use their newfound knowledge to greatly influence themselves and others. Students will learn to be confident in their abilities and trust that they have all the tools necessary to achieve success in all of their endeavours.
Character: This skill relates to how the learner develops a sense of self-awareness and behaviours such as empathy, integrity and responsibility within the communities they apply their learning. By building a positive character, students will become more equipped to act as leaders in any given environment.
Connectedness: Our personal development courses define connectedness as how the learner is able to establish and foster positive working relationships within their communities, both in and out of school. Students will gain a sense of belonging and have the ability to make their peers feel connected too.
