Best Way to Get Updated with Online Teaching – Students Online Sace

Hi, welcome to class! Today I’m teaching a crash course on the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). We’re going to learn the ins and outs of SACE and why students online SACE is important for your student! Let’s start with the basics.

What is SACE?

The SACE is overseen by the SACE Board, a statutory authority of the South Australian Government. The SACE Board of South Australia is a modern, internationally-recognised secondary school qualification and independent statutory authority of the South Australian Government. It provides the South Australian Certificate of Education and SACE International and delivers professional learning through Prescient.

What does the SACE Board of South Australia do?

The SACE Board of South Australia is responsible for accrediting subjects, recognising learning, and assessing student learning that contributes to meeting the completion requirements of the South Australian Certificate of Education. The SACE Board provides the SACE to schools in government, independent, and Catholic sectors in South Australia, as well as governs students online SACE. It assesses the achievements of students in the Northern Territory and at centres across Asia, as well.

What is the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) goal?

The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) goal is to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and personal capabilities to successfully participate in our fast-paced global society. The National Review of Senior Secondary Pathways says,

“Young people will need a broad base of skills, values, and knowledge to become successful lifelong learners. Our senior secondary schoolings system must continue to adapt to fulfil this modern role.” These skills and values are compiled into six elements for success.

Elements for Success through Students Online SACE

In accordance with the board, students online SACE teaches elements of a thriving learner. The SACE guidebook does not provide strict definitions of what those elements mean. This is because they don’t want to limit what they could mean to a student and allow students to view them in their own context.

The six elements of a thriving learner are:

  1. Zest for life and lifelong learning
  2. Agency
  3. Deep understanding and skilful action
  4. Human connectedness
  5. Ability to transfer learning
  6. Belonging

SACE Elements for Success Align with Leaders of Evolution

These six key elements and the overall goals of students online SACE should sound familiar… because they align perfectly with those of Leaders of Evolution! Students online SACE and Leaders of Evolution both strive to equip students with the tools they need to succeed.

Leaders of Evolution teaches online student leadership in schools and provides students with the skillset to thrive in their future workplaces. We use online classes to teach autonomy in the workplace, instil self-awareness, confidence, and so much more.

Our foundation courses for Online Student Leadership in Schools strengthen leadership for Year 5 and 6 students in fun and engaging ways. These courses use the 4 C’s Learning Framework of Competence, Confidence, Character, and Connectedness, the school leadership framework, peer to peer learning, and student-driven projects.

We even offer free taster courses to get a sneak peek into how our e-learning courses work!

What does a thriving learner look like?

A thriving learner can appear in a multitude of ways, so allow me to share some personal testimonies from students who completed their student online SACE.

One student, Arkie, says, “A thriving learner feels confident in class, is encouraged by peers and supported by a teacher with open and honest communication.”

Mohit described that “A thriving learner is someone with a passion for learning and a strong work ethic, and who cares about their future.”

“Someone whose head and heart are both engaged in the learning, and is surrounded by a supportive environment,” is what a thriving learner means to Jasmine.

Professor Martin is the Chief Executive of the SACE Board of SA who strongly believes in the effects of students online SACE. He says, “Together, through the SACE, we can put ‘thrive’ into a practice in ways other people can’t. This is our moment to truly be transformative.”
